TAMO is the result of a collaboration with Diane Diebold, a textile artisan specializing in the art of knotting. Both functional and decorative, the piece questions the use of materials in the design and construction of an object. A hand-knotted textile pattern recreates the grain of wood, a rigid material, using a soft and flexible medium. This unique craft technique transforms and gives new value to industrial waste: cardboard tubes used as the internal structure.
